No próximo sábado, dia 3 de Fevereiro, vai passar na 2:, pelas 11:15 da manhã, um fantástico concerto dos Incubus, gravado ao vivo a 26 de Julho de 2004 no lendário anfiteatro Red Rocks.
Filmado em alta-definição, o concerto inclui versões de temas mais recentes como "Megalomaniac" e "Talk Shows on Mute" bem como os clássicos "Stellar" "Pardon me" e "Wish You Were Here". Este concerto está incluído no DVD da banda, Alive At Red Rocks. (*especial agradecimento à Joana dos comments)

I Dig Incubus: Update #3

"The band has decided on the 5 finalists. I want to say thanks to all of you for your incredible enthusiasm and creativity on this little journey. I find it incredibly fulfilling that this little idea found a way to bring so many people from so many different places together. I couldn't help but get a little chill down the back of my spine reading all the recent posts in that regard. Who'd a thunk it!

The finalists will be announced on Feb 1 on the Idigincubus.com site where the videos will be featured and all you fans or anyone that is interested can cast a vote for their favorite video. The fan favorite AND the band's choice will be announced Feb 13th in Los Angeles. The band will make the presentation to the winner in person (assuming that they are willing and able to fly to LA)." Incubus Em Junho? Resposta

Aviso: Não passa de especulação.
Álvaro Covões, ex-colaborador da promotora Musica No Coração e agora responsável pela promotora Everything Is New (responsavel por trazer Incubus ao pavilhão atlantico) está a preparar um festival no fim de semana de 8 a 10 de Junho. Esse festival conta desde já com um enorme nome confirmado, os Pearl Jam. Tomei entretanto conhecimento de que os Incubus vão participar num festival Austríaco na semana seguinte (15-17 Junho). Nesse festival vão estar igualmente presentes os Pearl Jam. Ora sabendo que a banda estará pela Europa nestes dias e que existirá um festival aqui em Portugal, é possivel sonhar com uma segunda visita ao nosso país em pouco mais de 4 meses.
Vou tentar falar novamente com o manager de forma a saber se vale a pena ter esperança ou se é pura especulação. stay tuned

I Dig Incubus: Update #2

This Weekend-Band will let us know the 5 finalists. The band has asked for DVD copies of 12 videos now which was fedexed to them in DC from which they will then pick the 5 finalists.

Jan 29 & 30 - Epic will cut 5 :30 TV spots each using one of the final videos

We will cut a full video using all 5 videos - to be ready by Feb 1 & 2 for use on websites and other media

Feb 1- Idigincubus.com will go live with the five finalists and voting will begin

Feb 1-12 - TV spots will run on MTV2, MTVu and Fuse using the 5 videos (we will chyron and rotate the spots) TV spots will push people to watch the full clips on idigincubus.com (and of course vote)

Feb 13 - Five finalists will be flown to LA to attend the show where the band will select one winner

We are working to secure a live webcast of the awards and will give details as we get them.
That's everything we can tell you now. Now I'm going to go play Tom Petty's "The Waiting is the Hardest Part" and see what our boys come up with.

I Dig Incubus: update

Steve Rennie: "Well folks I know that many of you have been waiting patiently for January 25th and a winner to be announced. Well that's not going to happen on January 25th and here's why. Quite frankly, the volume, and the quality, and the creativity of the videos that were submitted was so far above expectations that the band has not been able to completely watch all 100 official submissions with the attention they deserve. Because of that they won't be announcing a winner by tomorrow. So here's what is going to happen. They are going to continue reviewing all the videos for the next few days and come up with a list of 5 finalists. They want to have those 5 videos and their directors spotlighted on the website within the next few days and have their Incubus fans vote for their favorite video amongst the 5 finalists. I reckon the videos will be up for voting by Feb 1. The directors of the 5 finalists will be flown to LA where they will get a chance to meet the band, see the show at the Wiltern and where the band will announce both the Fan Favorite and the Band's Pick. Final dates TBD (to be determined).
The folks at Epic Records are so excited about the results that we've discussed the possibilty of spotlighting those 5 videos in a series of TV spots to run on MTV in addition to a media campaign that will bring attention to the work of these fans/directors.

Neste concerto uma das pessoas que teve VIP pass para o backstage conversou com o manager da banda sobre uma determinada musica. Aqui ficam os pormenores:
"When I talked to Rennie at Seattle's meet & greet, he mentioned the boys had been practicing Hilikus... and he told me to tell Mikey they should play it.

So I told Mike they should play it and he went, "That's Rennie's favorite song!" So I think the chances are slightly above average that we might hear it at some point."

Afirmo desde já que se tocam a Hilikus em Portugal pago uma rodada a todos que frequentam este blog. Enjoy incubus!
